Consumer Information Before Booking

TRNC Consumer Protection Law No. 40/2003 aims to protect consumers' health, safety and economic interests and applies to commercial transactions between consumers and sellers or service providers. Before completing a booking, the consumer should be able to review the service scope, total price, taxes and fees, travel dates, supplier rules, cancellation/refund terms and contact information.

The information on this page is provided for practical guidance and does not limit mandatory rights granted under applicable TRNC law.

Booking Approval and Payment Obligation

Before payment, the customer should confirm the selected service, dates, passenger or guest details, price and cancellation conditions. A booking becomes final after payment and availability or supplier confirmation. If the requested service cannot be confirmed, the amount paid is refunded in line with the contract terms and mandatory legal rules.

Travel and date-specific service notice: Accommodation, transfer, tour, event, rental and similar services may be subject to product-specific booking rules, supplier conditions and mandatory TRNC consumer protection rules.

Distance Contracts and Withdrawal

Law No. 40/2003 defines distance contracts as contracts made by electronic, telephonic or similar communication tools without the simultaneous physical presence of the parties. The law applies the doorstep sales withdrawal rules to distance contracts where relevant.

For doorstep sales, the consumer generally has seven days from delivery of goods to withdraw without reason or penalty. For service contracts, the period starts from the contract date. Travel reservations, package tours and services planned for a specific date or period may be governed by special booking conditions and package tour rules.

Defective Services and Consumer Remedies

If a service is not provided as promised, starts late, is incomplete, or does not match the advertised or agreed characteristics, the consumer should notify Sevener Travel as soon as possible and keep supporting evidence. Depending on the circumstances and legal rules, remedies may include proper performance of the service, price reduction, refund or contract termination.

Package Tour Rights

For package tours, the consumer should receive clear pre-contract information and a copy of the package tour contract. If an essential contract term changes before departure or the organizer cancels the tour for a reason not caused by the consumer, the consumer may accept an alternative arrangement or withdraw from the contract and request a refund under the package tour rules.

Dispute Applications

If the issue is not resolved after contacting Sevener Travel, the consumer may apply in writing to the Goods and Services Arbitration Committee directly or through the District Office where the goods or services were purchased. Applications should include the petition and supporting documents such as booking confirmations, invoices, payment receipts and correspondence.
