A short walk and meal may be enough on arrival day. Return to the cathedral area and main streets for a longer exploration afterwards. Allowing time for architecture, photographs and wandering makes the city more than a place passed through before another activity.
Arrange the islet visit separately
For a boat excursion, ask which dock is used, how long the programme lasts and how you will return to the hotel. Do not assume the room booking includes the activity. Avoid placing another long transfer immediately before the lake outing if you want a more comfortable day.
A suggested three-night approach
Give the first full day a city focus and the next to the islets and rest. Change that balance if photography or food interests you more than excursions. Leave a clear interval for reaching your departure point on the final day.

Confirm that the property is in Nicaragua and check its full address. Finalise the room only when the location and transport support the same itinerary, and check both city and country on the confirmation.
